(editor’s note: I hit publish by mistake tonight, and just left it. This was supposed to come out on Monday morning at 6 AM, so that’s why you all got email notifications at 11:30 on a Sunday night. I’m sorry)
I’ve been so busy reading, and writing that piece of filth for Gadget, that I haven’t got anything written for tomorrow(That’s today for you people reading this on the day it was published. Do I have to keep explaining this?), and I don’t know what to write about. I guess it will just be about what I’ve been up to today and my thoughts about tomorrow.
I’ve become re-obsessed with Google+ and newly obsessed with Google Reader, so I’ve been reading and sharing all of the blog posts I like. The problem is that I didn’t read anything for a few days, and had to go back and do a bunch of reading all at once, and subsequently sharing on G+.
I really like G+ for that, and it goes perfectly with the reader, because at the end of each post that I really liked, I could click the +1 and voila, it is now shared on my G+ account. I’ve had a few people add me because of that, and I think that’s cool. I was getting sick of all the nerd posts being shared, but none of the funny, thoughtful stuff. Now I can share that with the people who care to add me to their circles. I’m not saying you should add me, but you certainly should.
On another note, I’ve decided to write something. It will either be a book, or a screenplay, and it will be a fictionalized story of how Mrs. Birdman and I got together. I say fictionalized, because it would suck pretty bad otherwise. It might suck pretty bad as it is, but at least I will have tried something. This blog sure isn’t paying any bills, so I’ve got to get working on something that will.
Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t start writing this to make any money. I didn’t even realize it was a possibility until I started reading other, more popular, blogs, but I have decided to give writing for pay a try. I will never get a head by doing that freelance stuff, unless I could get enough steady jobs to keep me busy, and that doesn’t seem to be happening anytime soon. I am going to have to try to actually sit down and write out a book or something. I wish I could afford to hire someone to type for me, because I can’t seem to get past the 9 wpm mark, but I can’t. I guess part of my day will be Mavis Beacon calling me a slow asshole, until I can gain more speed and accuracy.
Oh yeah, I have a job interview tomorrow, and it’s for the three day a week job. I’ll be getting a shave and haircut tomorrow if John is open, and showing up all spic and span, with my non swearing voice replacing my regular voice. I have to not call anyone stupid, or tell them their hair is fucking ugly. I think I can do that.
Another thing I wanted to mention is that I have the greatest fiance, and step kids ever. I can honestly say that there is nothing they could do that would change that, and it is such a great feeling. The girls go to their dad’s on the weekend, and I sit here by the door on Sunday, waiting for them. When Mrs. B got home, I was so happy to see her, because I had missed her so much. She was gone for about eight hours. Really not a great deal of time, considering how long we have been separated before. After several adoration sessions on the couch, I let her have some breathing room, and I went back to my other love, which is blogs, social media, and writing.
I think I’m going to revamp the blog in the near future, because this theme doesn’t have enough widget space, and it has all that wasted space on the left. I love the simplicity of it’s look, but I just need more shit on it, so something has to be sacrificed. So if any of you know much about WordPress themes, and have a suggestion for something with left and right sidebar widgets, but a very basic look, please let me know. There are all kinds of other ideas in my gourd, but I can’t get them out right now. Like I said, I’m at an impasse.
