I really don’t. It’s been a crazy couple of weeks, and as you can see from my baby’s beautiful post last week, we had added excitement for the wedding. We didn’t want it, but we got it anyhow.
I was almost afraid that I would never blog again. I got in the habit of not blogging, but because I hate the thought of everyone moving on, and I know a few of you are wanting to see something about the wedding, I’ll try to keep you interested until I can find the time for a real post. To tell you the truth, we have enough material for a few weeks worth of blog fodder, but I don’t know how many of you could withstand that much awesomeness.
So I’ll start by saying that we got married. In a barn. No shit.
Sawmill Road was there, accompanied by a great local DJ service called DJ Jazzy Bee.
My mom was the belle of the ball.
She was even a good sport about the cradling. I guess she is getting used to it.
We had the amazingly talented Ruby Rideout as our wedding photographer.
There were hot lesbians.
There was one fine ass looking bridal party on a tractor.
I think I found them.
There was smiling.
There was a lot of pink. Get it?
There was me in a suit and some flowers.

Don’t worry about the deodorant stains on my jacket. I’m short, and there were a lot of sleeveless dresses.
There was the most beautiful girl in my world.
There were some “gone, but not forgotten” dads.
There was some amazing take-aways from some dear friends.
Pretty cool setup inside the big doors.
We had a different take on wedding cake, thanks to a local cupcake genius.
We had an angry flower girl, but we aren’t going to focus on that photo. Let’s have a look when she was happy.
There was my favourite pic of the wedding.
Oh, and there was some kissing.
Actually there was a lot of kissing.
I know, I know. If you don’t like kissing, shut this page down now, because that’s all that’s left.
Oh, you’re still here? Well, you might as well see this one too.

All this kissing has got me about ready for bed. See you tomorrow with some actual writing, and maybe some more photos.
There you have it folks. I had an amazing wedding, despite the loss of a little girl’s ear, the bar running dry at 9:30 (Thanks Aaron and Chin, you were the saviours of the night), and a still unsolved bathroom line accosting by a white shirted man. There was really nothing that could have tamped down my joy and happiness on that night. The lady that I’ve loved since we re-met said “I do”, and two hundred of our friends and family got to watch it. I wish we could have seated a thousand, because there were so many others that I wish could have fit, but you can’t always get what you want.
As it was, I was too busy to talk to everyone that came, and I still feel bad that we had friends that travelled so far to be there, and I didn’t even get to talk to them. I hope that everyone understands, but if you are still craving some Birdman, give me a call. I’ll bring over a bottle of rum and give you a private showing.
Whoa! the birds all sing as if they knew. Today’s the day, we’ll say, “I do”,
Birdman
Y’all freakin rock.
I assume by “Y’all” you mean the Stray Cats? Oh, and we love you too. You did a great job.
Everything and everyone looks soooo beautiful and happy! Congratulations 🙂 P.S. Your mum is gorgeous!
Thank you so much, Nichola. No one would have shown up if it hadn’t of been for the beautiful invitations. We need to remember that there should be no shiny paper for the response notes though. It’s hard to write on them. We’ll remember for the next wedding. 😉
Thanks for sharing! My most favourite shot is you cradling your MOM! Loved the cupcake wedding cake! I’ll look forward to the “Go-Go-Gadjet-Upskirt-Cam” photo blog post!
Looked like a great day! Pictures don’t lie. Yooz guys will have an awesome time growing old together. Congrats!
Thanks, Scotty P. Yeah, my mother loves to be babied. Who doesn’t, really?
LOVE*however I guess had a known Gadget had the upskirt cam going I would’ve posed differently in the pink ladies pic…sohappy and honoured to have witnessed.. I missed the birdseed hearts dangit!
xoxo.
*I known
Oh Stella, Gadget always has an upskirt cam. Why do you think he smiles at you all the time?
Oh, I absolutely love these pictures! Thank you so much for sharing. I’ve got tears all running down my face. I love all of it but a few favorites are the bouquet, the wall of pictures, the picture of you holding your mom, the one of you and the girls is so touching…oh, never mind, I’m naming everything. lol I love it all! So very happy for the four of you. 🙂 xo
Thanks, Lilly. We have around 2000 photos, so I’m sure there will be more as they get edited. We haven’t even touched on the shenanigan side yet. Believe you me, there were shenanigans. I’m glad you liked the ones that I put up. They are some of my favourites as well.
Hilarious! Love the lesbian photo comment.
I love everything to do with the photo. Especially the comment though, because it’s an actual quote from a guy at the wedding when he was introduced to the girlfriend. Thanks for taking the time to read and comment. 🙂
I admit it, I cried. I loved meeting everyone that I did. Shout out to Nana Bird! Love you Mom! Thank you for opening your home to me. I miss you already.
As for the wedding photos, you see the one of us at the tractor? I am the handsome one on top of it. *hint hint to any single ladies out there*
I miss you and Mama Bird and the the girls already. Give your girls a HUGE hug from me.
I was on top of it too. I thought I was the handsome one. Sniff sniff
You guys look so great. Wonderful photography as well.
I don’t know if you are aware of it, but we know a couple photographers.
Sorry I’m so late to this train – but congrats to you both! The pics are awesome. Gerri – you were a beautiful bride (and are a beautiful woman). Birdman – you weren’t so bad lookin’ yourself. 🙂
Here’s to many, many years of happiness, each one better than the last.
Absolutely lovely. My (second) dad married married my mom when I was 5 so those pics of you & the girls got me teary too 😉
They get me pretty fucking weepy too. Thanks.
