Movember the 22nd, in the year of our lord 2011

I’m really very sorry about the lack of posting for my Movember movement. I have no excuse, and I feel ashamed for that. fact is, I have a fairly healthy scruff going, and I feel like it’s taking away from the majesty of my pencil moustache. I realize that you need proof of my dedication to the cause.

I'm working on my third chin now. Rouladen on Thursday.

I also want to thank everyone for donating so far. We’ve $135 for men’s cancer, and I’ve gotten to look ridiculous for three weeks. Win-win over here.

Reuben James, you still walk the pearly fields of my mind,

It turns out Abner’s real nickname is Chin. Captain’s log Movember 19, 2011

Chinstrap is driving now, or is it Chinster? I’m just going to call him Tim from now on. I don’t have a lot of time to post, but we are fine as frog’s hair. He’s winning the biological warfare battles, but I am winning the snoring contest. There isn’t really a contest, but I need to be good at something, so there you are. We just crossed into Saskatchewan and we’re going to grab a room tonight. I hope he doesn’t give me a Dutch Oven while I’m sleeping, because I have already lost a bunch of nerve function in my hands from his hotboxing; it’s pretty brutal.

For some reason Telus doesn’t want people to use their services between Hearst, ON and the Manitoba/Saskatchewan border. I guess I shouldn’t say that, there was some in Thunder Bay, Kenora and Winnipeg. Apparently the Trans-Canada isn’t a busy enough highway to warrant some towers alongside it’s length in Northern Ontario and Manitoba. Ah well, SK has plenty of service for me to yammer on for a bit. We’ve been munching on our sack of snacks from Asian Fusion in Cobourg. I love their assortment of Filipino treats. I wasn’t allowed to bring a bag of chicken skin chips, because someone didn’t want me having a minor coronary on the way out. Anyhow if you love asian cooking and decor, you should stop in. They’re on Facebook, and in the book.

How about my baby’s post yesterday? I am so in love with her, it’s ridiculous. I honestly am at a loss for words, even still. I miss those three so much today, that it hurts my heart. Anyhow folks, I’m mixing this with the Movember post, because I haven’t had time, and I’m sorry. I miss my routine, of writing on the computer, instead of the phone.

I love you, love you, love you, love you, love you ah-hall,

Movember 16th – The Transformation

I’d like to take this opportunity to ask you, yet again, for a monetary contribution to my Movember campaign. I’m not going to think you are cheap or uncaring if you don’t, I totally get it. I will probably hand out sexual favours if you donate a goodly sum, but don’t let that sway you. If you click this LINK, you will be redirected to my revolutionary Mo Space, where you can see photos and words. Might I suggest that you click on the donate button while you are there? It’s very rewarding.

Oh yeah, here’s today’s pic.

Ain’t never been with a woman long enough, for my boots to get old,

Movember 14th I’m sick and whiny

I hope that no one, except Katie, is too upset about the lack of a post yesterday, but we were very busy sleeping in, eating breakfast, hospital visiting, Santa Claus parading, and being sick to bother with shaving or posting anything. For Katie and Roadie, Kimmy, my sister, and my sweet, sweet Baby, I have shaved and had a pic taken, for you. I appreciate your donations, and I thank you on behalf of myself, and men everywhere. We love you all, very much. So without further ado…

I think I look even pervier when I'm sick.

Did you know that men get cancer all the time? It’s true. Approximately 45% of Canadian men will get cancer in their lifetime, compared with 40% of Canadian women. Okay, so maybe that’s not all the time, but it’s almost half of the time, and that’s pretty damn bad. It’s said that 1 in 4 Canadians is estimated to die of cancer, and I think that’s a pretty bad way to die. I wouldn’t be nearly as worried if everyone was dying peacefully in their sleep, because we all have to die someday, but I have watched cancer take hold of a lot of people that I love, and it just decimates them. If I can help people to not have to suffer that often long, grief riddled journey, I have to try. Even if it’s growing a silly looking moustache for a month to make $20, that’s not going to hurt anyone, and you never know, it may actually help. So donate if you can, share with your friends if you can’t. Every little bit helps, and if you can’t afford to donate, that’s okay. I haven’t got a bunch of extra $$$ either.

Keep on rockin’ in the free world,
